Our policies are organised into three key categories: Organisational, how the school is structured and managed, Curricular, how we plan, deliver and assess learning, and School Self-Evaluation (SSE), how we review and improve our practice to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Organisational Policies
Admission Policy 2026-2027 |
| This Admission Policy complies with the requirements of the Education Act 1998, the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018, and the Equal Status Act 2000. In drafting this policy, the board of management of the school has consulted with school staff, the school patron and with parents of children attending the school. |

| Regular and punctual attendance is essential for children to achieve their full potential in school. This policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities related to school attendance. |

Bí Cineálta Policy |
| It is mandatory for every school in Ireland to have a ratified and regularly reviewed anti-bullying policy. While this policy exists to meet the mandated requirement, the management of the school recognises that many of the elements within it are not relevant when considering the needs of the students we serve. |

Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment |
| The Board of Management has adopted and will implement fully and without modification the Department’s Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools (revised 2023) as part of this overall Child Safeguarding Statement. |

Communication Policy |
| This policy was developed through consultation with the school staff, parents/guardians and Board of Management of Libermann Spiritan School Templeogue (LSST). The family and home are central to the educational development of the child, and it is essential that effective communication regularly occurs. |

Critical Incident Policy |
| Our school recognises a critical incident to be “an incident or sequence of events that overwhelms the normal coping mechanism of the school and disrupts the running of the school” Critical Incidents may involve one or more pupil, staff, the school, or our local community. |

Data Protection Policy |
| The purpose of this Data Protection Policy is to support the school in meeting its responsibilities with regard to the processing of personal data. These responsibilities arise as statutory obligations under the relevant data protection legislation. They also stem from our desire to process all personal data in an ethical manner which respects and protects the fundamental rights. |

| The Board of Management of Libermann Spiritan School hereby formally resolves that it has adopted, and will operate in accordance with, the following Department of Education and Skills / recognised sectoral procedures and guidelines in respect of disciplinary and grievance matters affecting staff. |

| The School Plan is a living document that is developed in consultation with the Board of Management, the staff, the students, and the parents of the school. It is a plan for the whole school community, and therefore, all members of our school community are asked to participate and help in its development. |

Code of Relationships Respect and Behaviour |
| Our Code of Relationships, Respect, and Behaviour, prioritises our emphasis on positive relationships, respect for all members of the school community, and standards of behaviour that nurture a caring and comfortable environment in which our students can thrive. |

| This plan was developed by the staff of LSST through collaborative planning during in service days. It is a working document informed by our Communication, Language and Literacy Policy in addition to monthly Junior/Senior school meetings and our School Self Evaluation (SSE) surveys. |

| This policy outlines the approach to wellbeing at Libermann Spiritan School. It has been developed in line with the Department of Education’s Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice (2019), Looking at Our School (2022), and The National Wellbeing Goals. Crucially, it also incorporates the principles of Cineáltas: Action Plan on Bullying (2024). |
